The Baton Rouge Toy Chest provides gifts, toys and food to the low income and poor families of Baton Rouge during the holiday season.
Over the last 6 years, the Baton Rouge Toy Chest has provided thousands of underprivileged Baton Rouge families with a gourmet Thanksgiving meal and groceries, toys and gifts during the Christmas season.
We rely exclusively on donations and participation from the people of Baton Rouge and the local business community to ensure that no child or family goes without during the holiday season.
With the recent natural disaster in Baton Rouge, an estimated 8,000 more families will be seeking our assistance this holiday season. The local community and businesses whom we’ve depended on for support have all been adversely affected by the flooding.
Whether you are an individual, family, non-profit organization, church or business, you have the ability to make a difference! Each dollar raised helps us administratively to serve the needs of those in need. Please consider making a donation of ANY size to the Baton Rouge Toy Chest Fund.
BR Toy Chest started in 2012 by Lanzer Robinson and host of volunteers. BR Toy Chest was created to gift Baton Rouge families in need and to service our community as a shelter of last resort for Christmas. In partnership for 5 years with CB&I (then the Shaw Group), Progressive Waste Solutions and Mercedes Benz of Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Toy Chest set out to make Christmas special for all in our community. Our first season, we provided toys for 55 families. Over the course of time we have been fortunate enough to service thousands. We appreciate all of the unique partnerships with agencies over the years as we have grown to support more families with growth happening each year forward.
Special Thanks to all of our supporters: Dominos Pizza, Baton Rouge Coca Cola and CVS.
BR Toy Chest is produced by the Fashion Weekend of New Orleans Foundation and Lanzer Robinson Public Relations as our official event producers for Baton Rouge Toy Chest. BR Toy Chest looks forward to growing each year going forward and we could not do as much without the support of our donors and toy contributors. Thanks for your support.
In its 6th year, Lanzer Robinson remains the Executive Director of BR Toy Chest and works to continue supporting Baton Rouge while also servicing East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Livingston, Iberville and St. James Parishes.
